9 lbs Light LME (Base extract, added at start of boil)

1 oz Citra (12% AA) @ 15 min (Flavor addition

Instrucions
1Steep specialty grains in 2.5 gallons of water at 155°F for 30 minutes.Do not let the water temperature exceed 170°F.
2Remove grain bag and bring the water to a boil.
3Turn off the heat and stir in the LME until fully dissolved.
4Return to a boil and add the 60-minute Citra hop addition.
5With 15 minutes left, add the second Citra hop addition and the clarifier (Irish Moss or Whirlfloc tablet).
6At flameout, add the final 2 ounces of Citra hops and whirlpool gently for 10 minutes.
7Cool the wort rapidly to 75°F and transfer to the sanitized fermenter, topping up with cold filtered water up to 5.5 gallons.
8Aerate the wort thoroughly and pitch the yeast. Seal the lid with an airlock.
9Add dry hops once active fermentation subsides, usually after 5-7 days.
